Welcome to my blog!

I am a (former) Registered Dietitian turned baker/pastry chef.

So a little about me. I graduated with a bachelor of science degree majoring in dietetics May 2011, completed a clinical dietetic internship August 2013, and passed my RD exam to become registered as a dietitian November 2013.ย After working as a dietitian I began to realize it was not really the path for me. I tried finding jobs that would interest me and I just always felt like none of them were…right. On a whim I started working in a bread bakery and that’s when I really discovered my passion for working with food. And that’s when everything sort of clicked into place. After working in the bread bakery for 4 years I left for another bakery. This time an actual bakery where I could hone my skills as a baker and pastry chef. And that’s when everything REALLY clicked into place. I get to bake and create to my hearts content. And I couldn’t be happier. My ultimate goal is to have my own funky rainbow bakery one day but for now I am perfectly happy where I’m at.

So I thought it would be fun to share my adventures in the kitchen (hence, the name “f00dventures”).

I have published several recipe ebooks, my favorite being my 5 minute donut recipe ebook (which happens to be a FREE download). My donuts are really what put me on the map and if you follow me on social media, you’ll see my obsession with that recipe has not wavered. I still use my donut recipe on a daily basis so I can enjoy donuts all the live long day.ย More info about all of my ebooks on my “recipe ebooks” tab.

I am currently an affiliate with Daily Harvest, a vegan meal delivery service which offers chia puddings, ice cream sundaes, overnight oats, soups, and smoothies. If you are a first time user of the service you can use my code f00dventures for 3 FREE products. I have also done a few reviews on their products which you can check out here and here.

I am also an affiliate with Livwell Nutrition vegan protein powder. Use my code f00dventures for a discount! They currently offer 2 protein powder flavor options; vanilla bean and raw cacao. Stay tuned for recipe ideas featuring those protein powders. For more info, check them out here.

Lol I love food to I did a hospitality course in high school which made me fall in love with cooking. Hahaha yeah it’s very good to have knowledge about how to eat healthy but you’d need to indulge too. I find that most of the stuff I love is not healthy ๐Ÿ˜€

      1. Glad to hear it! i, on the other hand, don’t know if ill actually be coming back to my blog. i discovered instagram last year and found out i can reach a much larger audience through there and also gain followers much quicker than i ever could with my blog. with my blog, i felt like i was talkign to myself most of the time lol and trying to manage my instagram, blog, and newly started youtube channel was becoming all too much so i’ve put my blog on the back burner and have been focusing more on just instagram and youtube. i still check my blog, though, and will definitely stick around to catch up with friends. i just don’t know how often ill actually be uploading blog posts anymore.
