This recipe is for all of you pumpkin lovers out there. I have two versions of this recipe to share. If you prefer lattes, then refer to the first version of this recipe. If you like a spicy tea better, then refer to the second version of this recipe.
1 cup pumpkin purée
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
4 cups water
directions: version one – pumpkin spice latte
1) combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and heat until hot, not boiling.
2) prepare your coffee. This part may vary based on your own preferences. I don’t like a strong coffee flavor so I only filled my mug with half coffee and half of the pumpkin mixture. The end product? A latte that tastes like pumpkin pie in a mug.
directions: version two – spiced pumpkin tea
1) combine all ingredients in a lArge pot and heat until hot, not boiling.
2) fill a mug with the pumpkin mixture. Add a celestial bengal spice tea bag and steep for 5 minutes. The end product? A spiced pumpkin tea perfect for a lazy fall afternoon.
